Anti-polio drive: Registration of two private schools suspended in Karachi

KARACHI: Director Private schools has suspended the registration of two private schools in the metropolis over non-cooperation with anti-polio vaccination teams on Wednesday.
The Director-General of the private schools said that he had received complaints regarding the private schools and suspended the registration of two schools.
He further said notices were sent to 40 other schools in Karachi over non-cooperation with the anti-polio vaccination teams.
On the other hand, the concerned authorities of All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association have rejected the allegations of non-cooperation during the anti-polio drive in the city.
They said all schools are extending their support to the polio workers during this campaign. The anti-polio drive is presently underway in the metropolis.
The drive had started from February 10, will continue till the 16th of this month. The drive is underway in all six districts of Karachi and is targeting children less than five years of age.
