BANGALORE: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, who were earlier tested positive for the coronavirus, have both been admitted to hospital after developing early symptoms.
Aishwarya Rai along with her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya Bachchan had contracted the virus last Sunday. The news was confirmed by Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan that the two had contracted COVID-19. Both mother and daughter were self-isolating at home, and according to reports, both of them had initially shown mild symptoms of the virus.
Taking to Twitter, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They are self quarantining at home.”

However, both Aishwarya and Aaradhya have now been admitted to the Nanavati hospital for further treatment. India currently has the world’s third-largest amount of coronavirus cases, after the United States and Brazil. All three countries have recorded more than a million cases of the virus.
