ISLAMABAD: Another special aircraft from China carrying medical relief supplies has arrived in the federal capital to fight the coronavirus.
According to details, a special plane of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) arrived with 20 tonnes of relief supplies in Islamabad. The supplies were received by Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul and Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Mohammad Afzal.
Chairman NDMA on this occasion asserted that the supplies arriving from China include 59 ventilators and 936 kg surgical masks. Moreover, three planes with medical equipment had arrived in Pakistan from China within the past 24 hours.
Relief supplies also include 68,660 medical masks, 1, 60,000 non-medical masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and fabric for making protective gear suit.
On 2nd April, a plane with medical equipment arrived from China that included testing kits, masks, and gloves. On the other hand, Pakistan has so far reported 72 deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases has surged to 4,793.
