Amid rising tensions over Israel’s military operations in Gaza, a wave of attacks on international fast-food franchises continued in Pakistan, with another Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet targeted in Lahore late Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Phase IV area, where a group of individuals vandalized the restaurant by pelting stones, breaking windows, and causing structural damage.
Footage circulated on social media shortly after the event, showing a crowd—many on motorcycles and some carrying wooden clubs—surrounding and attacking the establishment. Eyewitnesses reported that the assault was sudden, carried out by unidentified individuals who fled the scene upon the arrival of a large police contingent.
No injuries were reported among staff or customers, according to police statements.

This latest act of vandalism follows a series of similar attacks in Karachi, where several KFC outlets and one Domino’s Pizza location were targeted earlier in the week. On Tuesday evening, ten individuals were arrested for ransacking a fast-food outlet in Karachi’s DHA area.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, attributed the attacks to political motivations, saying, “Their motive was to protest against U.S. and Israeli policies in Gaza.” He confirmed that the situation had been brought under control and that authorities were actively pursuing other suspects and organizers involved in the violence.
“Security has been increased at other KFC locations across the city,” DIG Raza added. He noted that similar incidents have been observed in other Muslim-majority countries, including Bangladesh, often triggered by content circulated on social media that incites public unrest.
