After Aryan Khan, Ananya Panday summoned in drugs case: Is NCB targeting Bollywood?
Just after a day of SRK’s son Aryan Khan’s bail being once again rejected, the Narcotics Control Bureau has just summoned Bollywood actress Ananya Panday in connection with the drugs case.
Ananya, who is the daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Panday shares a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan’s family. His daughter, Suhana Khan, is one of Ananya’s closest friends in the industry.
Ananya has often been spotted spending time with Shah Rukh’s sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan as well. The recent summons has just raised a question that if NCB is only targeting Bollywood stars and star kids?

The NCB recently summoned Ananya Panday for questioning in connection with the drugs case on the basis of chats found on Aryan Khan’s mobile phone. The team reached Ananya Panday’s residence at Khar West in Mumbai. Her home was also raided by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Aryan Khan’s case
On October 20, a special NDPS court rejected Aryan Khan’s bail plea and the star son’s legal team was quick to move HC against the order. Aryan’s bail plea hearing has been listed for October 26 now.
Aryan’s lawyers Satish Maneshinde requested a hearing on Friday or Monday but ASG Anil Singh for NCB stated that they had not been served the copy yet. Furthermore, Court refused Maneshinde’s request for a hearing via video conferencing, and Aryan’s bail plea matter was listed for hearing on Tuesday.
Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Board, from a party on charges of buying and using drugs earlier this month, which according to Aryan’s lawyer are false claims. However, it was revealed that Aryan has not been found in possession of drugs.
He has been ‘charged with the consumption of drugs’, the publication reported. According to the bureau, the star kid’s WhatsApp was filled to the brim with evidence of his involvement with the consumption of drugs. So much so that the bureau has assumed what Aryan’s lawyer said were chats about football, was in reality his admittance to smuggling drugs in ‘bulk quantities’.

Shah Rukh Khan had visited Aryan at the Arthur Road jail. The superstar was spotted for the first time in public, ever since his son was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3. SRK was allowed to meet his son as COVID-19 protocols for were lifted for in-person meetings in jail.
NCB and Bollywood
Ever since Aryan Khan’s arrest in the drug case, NCB is facing massive criticism for only focussing on nabbing the Bollywood celebrities. Many think the focus has once again shifted on the film industry and its links with an active drug nexus.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son may be the latest celebrity name to find himself in the spotlight but he isn’t alone. Several famous names before him have either been arrested or questioned over their links with a rampant nexus. From Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Ali Khan to Arjun Rampal, these Bollywood stars have been subjected accused in the drug case.
