SUKKUR: An accountability court has extended the hearing of the assets beyond means case against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah till 9th March.
Accountability Court Judge Ameer Ali Mahesar conducted the hearing where seventeen accused including Awais Qadir Shah and Farrukh Shah were present during the court hearing.
Khursheed Shah was brought to the court for the hearing in an ambulance as he is currently admitted at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Sukkur.
His family members including two wives, two sons and son-in-law of Khursheed Shah were also summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Khursheed Shah was arrested on 18th September last year by the NAB in Islamabad in a joint raid by the anti-corruption watchdog’s Rawalpindi and Sukkur bureau. His wives, son, and nephew are among eighteen co-accused in the reference and were also asked to appear in the court. He is facing charges of possessing assets amounting to Rs500 billion through illegal means.
