Abrar-ul-Haq tests positive for COVID-19

KARACHI: Abrar Ul Haq, the famous Pakistani singer and also an active member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.
On a social media website Twitter, Abrar Ul Haq confirmed the news, saying that while his COVID-19 test had come out positive, he will still be carrying on with professional duties through video conferencing.
“My corona test came positive, I am home quarantined, however, Insha-Allah, I will keep performing my duties through Skype as Red Crescent and Sahara worker,” he said, adding: “Please pray for me and all those fighting it.”

A day earlier, the singer-songwriter had expressed fear of him getting infected after suffering from COVID-19 like symptoms.
“I am having fever and dry cough since last night and hope it is not Corona however those who interacted with me including Governor Sarwer sb should take precautionary measures,” he tweeted.

On April 24, a Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Syed Abdul Rasheed tested positive for the coronavirus. Later, he had quarantined himself at his residence in Karachi.
On April 28, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail had confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19. 
On a social media website Twitter, Imran Ismail said: “I have just been tested COVID 19 positive, Allah Kareem inshallah will fight it out”.
“Imran Khan thought us to fight out the most difficult in life and I believe this is nothing against what we r prepared for. May Allah gives strength to fight this Pandemic inshallah, he added”. He revealed that he had isolated himself at the Governor House.
Earlier, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani had contracted novel COVID-19 after he took a test which had been declared positive.
Later, Governor Sindh and Saeed Ghani had announced that they were tested negative for the coronavirus, recovering from the disease after almost 15 days.
