KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies have raided the house of Peter Paul David, a suspect identified of the Lahore Johar Town blast in Karachi, and collected evidence.
According to the preliminary investigation, Peter Paul David runs a hotel business in Bahrain. He moved his family from Bahrain to Pakistan in 2010. David moved his family from Bahrain to Pakistan in 2010.
The accused had reached Karachi from Bahrain a month and a half ago. During this period, Peter had visited Lahore three times and stayed for 27 days. According to law enforcement agencies, the arrest of Peter Paul David could not be made due to his absence during the raid in the house, however, one accused in the Lahore blast has already been arrested.
It may be recalled that in a video statement posted on Twitter on Thursday, the minister claimed that officials had achieved “great success” during the investigation. “Punjab police will soon arrest the culprits and deliver good news to the people,” he said.
He remarked Pakistan’s enemies could not tolerate the economic and political stability in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and had started adopting “terrorist routes”. He said elements that wanted to spread chaos in the country would fail, as Pakistan “will never succumb to any pressure”.
