KARACHI: Citizens who have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and are aspiring to travel abroad can now get the coronavirus vaccination certificate from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) approved issuing certificates for partial vaccination — and now the people seeking to travel out of the country can obtain them. Here is how you can get NADRA’s coronavirus immunization certificate:
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issues the coronavirus immunization certificate after you get two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
You can get this certificate online too. Just log on to NADRA’s website and it will ask you for your national identity card number, the date of its issuance and phone number.
The website will show the certificate on your computer screen and you can download it after entering your details. It will have all your details, including your date of birth, CNIC number and the vaccination centre.
However, you will first have to make an online payment of Rs100. Those who can’t make online payments will have to visit the nearest NADRA office. If you have received two doses of vaccine, you can click this link and download your certificate.
Vaccination in Pakistan
On May 16, Pakistan had started registering people who are 30 years and above for coronavirus vaccinations, while registration for people falling in the 40-49 age group began on May 3.
A digital portal has been launched by the federal government for registrations through which a code is assigned to a person. The citizens can then go to a designated vaccination centre and get a jab. People can also message their CNIC number on 1166 and get themselves registered for the vaccine.
According to NCOC, AstraZeneca would be administered to people above 40-years, while people above 18-years will be inoculated with Sinopharm, Cansino, and Sinovac. The duration between the two doses is 12 weeks for AstraZeneca, 3 weeks for Sinopharm, and 4 weeks for Sinovac.
