KARACHI: Renowned religious scholar and writer Allama Aun Muhammad Naqvi has passed away from the coronavirus on Thursday, his relatives confirmed.
According to details, Allama Aun Naqvi was undergoing treatment at Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) for several days. Allama’s body will be shifted to his residence near Rizvia Imambargah Old Golimar.
His funeral prayers will be offered at Imambargah Shah Karbala Trust in Karachi’s Old Rizvia Society after Friday prayer at 3pm. He will be buried in Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard. He was an active member of the Supreme Council of Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan (JAP).
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail expressed sorrow over the demise of renowned religious scholar, saying that he rendered sincere services for interfaith harmony in the country. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also expressed his grief over the demise of Allama Aun Naqvi. He also prayed for the family of the deceased.
Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Allama Razi Jafar Naqvi, Allama Nazir Abbas Taqwa, Allama Baqir Hussain Zaidi, Shabar Raza, Razi Haider and other religious leaders also expressed their sorrows.
