Social activist and wife of former cricketer Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram has expressed problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic to be end soon.
While taking to Twitter, Shaniera Akram wrote that COVID-19 is taking lives, crippling businesses, and destroying education.

“COVID is taking lives, crippling businesses,destroying education, increasing mental illness, dividing our world & ripping families apart.I know my husband sent us to Oz to be safe but nothing makes me wish the end of COVID more than hearing our baby cry for her daddy every night,” she posted on Twitter.
According to her, her husband sent her to Australia to be safe. However, nothing makes her wish for the end of COVID-19 as it has affected lives badly. Earlier, Shaniera celebrated her 38th birthday this month on 20th March in Australia.

Earler, Shaniera Akram in a series of Instagram stories requested her Pakistani followers to ‘cut her some slack’ and wrote in one of the stories, “Can everyone stop throwing me under the bus here,” wrote Shaniera. “I have fallen in our culture, our family values, and the way we are as a country.”
Akram then went onto say, “But you have to understand I have been brought up in another country,” lamented Shaniera explaining that she grew up in a multi-cultural city where there were many cultures. She continued that she hears harrowing stories of child abuse every day and that “This is also not our culture, but it exists.”
Akram then apologised to all those offended by her comments, saying that she has “nothing but love and respect for our culture and values. In fact, that’s why I love living in Pakistan so much.”
