KARACHI: A further 36 deaths and 1,392 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Control Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,896 while the total number of affected people has reached 581,365. The number of active cases across the country is 92,098 and 546,371 people have recovered from coronavirus.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 44,373, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 72,424, Sindh 258,266, Punjab 172,054, Balochistan 19,049, Azad Kashmir 10,243 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,956 people have been affected by the virus.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 5,363 people have lost their lives while Sindh has 4,350, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2,079, Islamabad 501, Gilgit-Baltistan 102, Balochistan 200, and Azad Kashmir 301. People have lost their lives.

Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated against the virus, while people above the age of 63 have also been vaccinated. Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms.
For the first phase of vaccination, 189 vaccination centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan, and 14 in Islamabad. Vaccination will be carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
