LAHORE: A sculpture of renowned poet Allama Iqbal unveiled at a public park in Lahore has received criticism for the botched artwork.
Placed at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, it is still not identified who made the sculpture of Allama Iqbal. Since it has grabbed the attention of people, social media users have been criticising the carving.
Photos are trending on Twitter and Facebook. Some social media users are criticizing the creation, while some others are commenting on it positively:

Maybe the Allama Iqbal statue is a brilliant social commentary on the whatsapp uncle who invokes Iqbal to make cartoonish points about life wrapped up in religious garb.

Allama Iqbal’s statue doesn’t surprise me at all … it’s in line with how we have deformed the country, it’s polity, it’s culture and ideology of its creation. pic.twitter.com/6ekNpxJmpa
