LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the ML-1 project will revolutionize the railway sector in Pakistan.
In this regard, the Ambassador of China Nong Rong called on Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. Pakistan-China relations and rail projects were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting agreed to intensify efforts for the early completion of the Karachi-Peshawar Main Line One project of Railways. On the occasion, the railway minister said that the everlasting friendship between Pakistan and China was based on mutual trust and confidence while the ML-1 project would revolutionize the railway sector in the country.

He said that the ML-1 project would create new employment and business opportunities in the railways and thanked the Chinese for the ML-1 project while further enhancing the relations between the two countries.
The Chinese Ambassador said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is a manifestation of the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
The railway minister welcomed the new Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan on his arrival at the Ministry of Railways and presented a bouquet of flowers. The new Ambassador wished for further improvement in Pakistan-China relations.
