Five vehicles mysteriously catch fire in Karachi

KARACHI: Five vehicles were engulfed by a fire under the bridge at Nagan Chowrani of the metropolis today (Friday).

According to details, the residents of the area tried to bring the fire under control and also called the local fire brigade personnel.

However, the vehicles were completely burnt by the time the fire was controlled with the help of a fire-fighter. The police were trying to determine the cause of the fire.

The district police have informed that the burnt vehicles had been parked on the road by residents of the area. In a preliminary investigation, the police said that the burning of cars did not seem to stem from an act of terrorism, although it may have been an accident.
