Waqar Masood Khan appointed SAPM on Revenue

ISLAMABAD: Eminent economist Dr Waqar Masood Khan has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue with the status of Minister of State, it emerged today (Monday).

According to a notification, the premier has been pleased to appoint Mr Waqar Masood Khan as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue with the status of Minister of State”.

Waqar Masood held several positions in the federal government including Special Secretary to the Prime Minister, Secretary Finance Division, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Secretary Petroleum & Natural Resources, and Secretary Textile Industry.

Earlier on October 2, Former chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of K-Electric Tabish Gauhar was appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) for Power.

The Cabinet Division released a notification regarding the appointment of Tabish Gauhar as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister.  Gauhar had been associated with KE as the chairman and CEO for more than seven years.
