LOS ANGELES: Christopher Nolan’s latest film espionage thriller ‘Tenet’ is well on its way to collecting $100 million at the box office internationally.
The film opened with a disappointing $20 million dollars in the domestic North American market. The film is the first major Hollywood film to be released in cinemas in the past six months.
Its worldwide total currently stands at $146 million and will need to make several times that figure to recover the cost of production. Nolan is known for blockbusters that have earned over one billion dollars but this time it will be a challenge.
The espionage thriller will need to earn $650 million just to break even and as cinemas continue to reopen, more films will challenge Tenet.
Christopher Nolan is known for blockbusters like The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk.
