MANCHESTER: Pakistan will play its third and final match against England in the ongoing T20 series today.
Pakistan has aimed to avoid a series defeat against England. According to the details, the match will begin at 10:00 PST at Manchester’s Old Trafford Stadium.
Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam said that he was hopeful that the team would make a comeback in the series. “Our team has played well and I am hopeful to make a comeback in the last match,” he said.
In the second T20, Pakistan scored their highest ever T20I score against England; however, Morgan’s innings of 66 from 33 balls and Malan’s unbeaten 54 from 36 helped England win with five wickets in hand. The first match between the two teams was called off due to rain.
Babar Azam earlier regained his career-best fifth position in ICC’s Test rankings and became the only batsman in the world to be ranked among top-five across formats.
He leapfrogged Australia’s David Warner to enter the top-5. He scored a fighting 127-ball 47 in the first innings of the 2nd Test, which eventually ended in a draw.
