LOS ANGELES: The trailer for the upcoming HBO Max science-fiction series ‘Raised by Wolves’ directed by Ridley Scott is out.
The series revolves around an android, called the Mother, who was designed to nurture human children on a new, desolate-looking planet after the earth was destroyed due to a great war. She has another android, called the Father, to assist her.
Once the burgeoning colony of humans begins to split apart due to religious differences, the androids realize that there’s more to humans than they thought. As such, learning to control them and their beliefs gets increasingly difficult.
Danish actor Amanda Collin plays Mother, the android who is protecting all these children, while Travis Fimmel (Vikings, Warcraft) is Marcus, some kind of soldier. The rest of the cast is relatively unknown.
Scott, who directed The Martian, Gladiator, and Alien, makes his television series directorial debut for American audiences with the first two episodes.
The HBO Max series is produced by his Scott Free Productions. Scott, writer and creator Aaron Guzikowski, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner, and Mark Huffam are executive producers.
