WASHINGTON: At least 6,365,000 confirmed cases worldwide have been reported with 377,558 deaths death since the pandemic began in China last year in December.
According to the latest data, 2,903,418 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far. Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 529,405 cases and 30,046 fatalities.
Spain has recorded 28,000 fatalities and 286,718 infections. The United Kingdom has reported 39,000 fatalities and 274,000 infections.
A number of 414,878 people have infected while 4,855 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.
Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 33,415 fatalities, while 232,997 infections. India has reported 190,609 cases while 5,408 deaths due to the coronavirus.
France has reported 28,802 deaths and 188,882 cases. Germany has reported 8,605 deaths and 183,494 infections.
Turkey reported 163,942 coronavirus cases and 4,540 fatalities. China has declared 4,634 deaths and 83,017 cases, with 78,307 recoveries.
In Belgium, 9,467 people succumbed to the disease while reported 58,381 cases due to the coronavirus. Mexico has reported 9,930 deaths and 90,664 cases.
Canada reported 7,295 fatalities and 90,947 infections due to coronavirus. Meanwhile, the death toll is 7,797 in Iran as a confirmed number of cases is almost 151,466.
