ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued a ‘red letter’ to 16 ministries over non-implementation of federal cabinet decisions.
According to details, the red letter is considered to be a final warning and expression of displeasure. It has been issued to the ministries for the second time by the PM Office on the orders of the prime minister.
The PMO asked the concerned ministries to complete the tasks they were assigned within 21 days and to submit a compliance report on the matter to the premier.
As per PM Office spokesperson, out of eight, five decisions of the federal cabinet were not implemented within the stipulated time. Deficiencies in the implementation of the red letter will be included in the performance report of the ministries.
The Prime Minister Office further said that PM has also summoned the performance report of the ministries.
The ministries were advised to send vacancy data to Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) within the stipulated time. The list of vacant positions includes those that can be re-designated, rationalized, or deleted.
The departments were also to provide a list of officers/officials (all type of ex-cadres) eligible for promotion but not being promoted due to various reasons.
