WASHINGTON: American forces claimed to have killed a notorious leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Qasim al-Raymi in Yemen.
According to reports, Qasim al-Raymi affiliated with Al-Qaeda was killed during US military operation in Yemen.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that the US had killed the leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula after the terrorist group takes responsibility for mass gunfire at a US naval base.
The White House in a statement said Qasim al-Raymi, who has Patronized the Al-Qaeda group since 2015, was killed in a US operation in Yemen.
The statement further said the US military forces conducted a targeted operation against militants in Yemen that successfully achieved the target by killing Qasim al-Raymi.
