ISLAMABAD: The federal government has planned to make yet another attempt to appease its dissatisfied coalition partners by holding a fresh round of discussions to address their serious reservations about government’s performance, unemployment, inflation and non-use of development funds.
The decision was made at a meeting of senior party members of Pakistan’s ruling Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), the meeting was chaired by Asad Qaiser Speaker of National Assembly in his Parliament House chamber on Thursday.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, Minister of Defence Pervez Khattak, Minister of Planning and Development Asad Umar and Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood were present at the meeting.
One more meeting was also held in the chamber of Malik Aamir Dogar PTI’s Member National Assembly in which a plan was formulated to satisfy the “angry” Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in Punjab. While it is also expected that PML-Q’s request to include PTI leader Jehangir Tareen in Punjab’s government committee will be decided and that he can be a member ahead of the negotiating process with coalition partners.
