KARACHI: K-Electric has announced a schedule for temporary power outages in various parts of Karachi on October 2, 2026, due to maintenance, restoration and other essential work. According to the utility company, electricity supply from several feeders will remain suspended at different times during the day.
Under the announced schedule, power supply from the Abdul Rehman Feeder will be suspended from 8:59am to 5:29pm, while the Alauddin Park area will experience an outage from 9:30am to 6pm. Electricity supply from the Baghdadi Feeder will remain affected from 9:59am to 5:59pm.
Similarly, several other areas, including Balochistan Particle Board, Borstal Jail, Ghaziabad RMU, Chanchari RMU, Chiniot Hospital, G-3 Apartments, G Market RMU and Greenland City, are also scheduled to experience power interruptions at specified times.
According to the schedule, the Indus Ice Feeder will remain without power from 9:59am to 3:59pm, while electricity supply to Iran Centre will be suspended from 11am to 6pm. The Memon Goth Telephone Exchange area will experience an outage from 9am to 6pm.
Meanwhile, the Merit Packages Feeder is scheduled to remain without power from 10:59am to 10:59pm. The outage on the PSO-II Feeder has been scheduled from 10:29am to 11:29pm.
Other affected locations include Juma Khan, Junaid Trade RMU, King Hatchery, Mashriq Society, Naz Plaza, Off Beat Street, P&T Colony, Pehlwan Goth, Pink Park RMU, Saima Arabian Ranches, Sector E-8/S-08, Shalimar Ice, Sohail Shamsi and Technical College.
According to K-Electric’s schedule, most affected areas will experience power interruptions between the morning and evening hours. However, outages in some areas may continue until late at night.
Residents have been advised to plan their daily activities and essential electrical work according to the announced outage timings.
