LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the Pakistan U17 squad for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka U17, with Azaan Ahmed, who has recently impressed with his performances, named as captain.
According to the PCB, the Sri Lanka U17 tour of Pakistan will run from October 9 to 24 in Multan. The visiting team is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on October 5.
The tour will feature one three-day match and five One-Day matches between the two sides.
Azaan Ahmed recently led the Rawalpindi team to the National U17 Cup title after an impressive campaign. He will now lead Pakistan at the national level, with the young captain expected to build on that success during the Sri Lanka series.

Azaan Ahmed (captain), Abdullah Ahmed Butt, Arsalan Hassan, Dawood Tauqeer Rana, Fahad Iqbal, Hamid Raza, Hamza Abbas Baloch, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Essa Baloch, Muhammad Ehsan, Muhammad Naveed, Muhammad Saim, Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Muhammad Yousuf, Sher Wali Khan and Sudais Ahmed.
Reserve Players
The selection committee has also named four reserve players for emergency situations: Ammar Khan, Imad Ali Shah, Nafees Akhtar and Saqib Khan.
