ISLAMABAD: A reported Sarhad University firing incident Islamabad has sparked concern after a man in military uniform allegedly fired into the air during a student protest on campus.

Students said they had gathered to protest alleged inappropriate behavior by the university’s human resources manager toward department head Dr. Jadoon Khan. They said the protest was peaceful and aimed to support their teacher.

The students carried placards and raised slogans demanding “Justice for Sir.” They also alleged that the HR manager pushed Dr. Jadoon and threatened to file a false case against him.

Students describe events before shooting

According to the protesters, the HR manager later arrived at the protest site and exchanged heated words with students. Some students alleged that she slapped several protesters before calling her husband.

The students claimed that the man then arrived on campus wearing an official military uniform. They alleged that he struck a student with a stick during the confrontation.

Tensions reportedly escalated as more students reacted to the alleged assault. The man allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired into the air. No confirmed information about injuries or property damage was immediately available in the details provided.

The Islamabad university student protest shooting allegation has intensified calls for an impartial inquiry. Students said they had protested against alleged threats and attempts to implicate their teacher in false cases.

Sarhad University firing incident Islamabad draws official response

An Islamabad Police officer reportedly reached the campus after the incident. The officer assured students that authorities would take action against the military officer.

Senior journalist Hamid Mir also claimed that the Pakistan Army had taken immediate notice of the matter. He said the officer had been taken into custody and that proceedings had begun.

Those claims require confirmation through official statements from the relevant authorities. A transparent investigation could establish what led to the confrontation and whether anyone violated the law.

The incident also raises broader concerns about security, discipline and the handling of disputes at educational institutions. Universities must provide safe spaces for students to raise legitimate concerns without intimidation or violence.

Students demand transparent investigation

Students have demanded a transparent investigation into the Sarhad University firing incident Islamabad. They want authorities to examine the conduct of everyone involved, including the alleged assault, threats and aerial firing.

The inquiry should record student statements, review available video footage and determine whether the officer acted within the law. It should also clarify the original dispute involving Dr. Jadoon Khan and the HR manager.

The case has drawn attention because it involves a student protest, alleged use of force and the reported arrival of a uniformed military officer on campus. Authorities are expected to release verified details as the investigation progresses.
