RAWALPINDI: Celebrities from across Pakistan have demanded justice for Hina Javed as concern grows over the alleged murder of the 45-year-old woman in Rawalpindi.
It may be recalled that Hina was found dead on Aug. 20. Police registered a case after her brother, Fahad Javed, filed a complaint against her husband, Asghar Imam, her father-in-law and a domestic worker.
The investigation remains under way. Authorities have arrested some suspects, while the allegations have yet to be proven in court.

Several Pakistani showbiz figures have expressed solidarity with Hina’s family and called for a transparent investigation.
Mahira Khan shared her sorrow and anger over the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death. She questioned what kind of society was raising men capable of violence against women.
