A Central Investigation Agency (CIA) police team has apprehended 19 illegal Afghan nationals at Jacobabad Bypass.
According to police officials, these Afghan nationals were going to Karachi in a van.
Earlier, police said that an excise team freed these Afghan nationals after accepting a bribe from them.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) sought a detailed report about issuance of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to Afghan nationals from the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) within a month.
The Court also ordered to restore suspended CNIC of the petitioner till the next hearing of the case.
The petitioners, namely Nooran Bibi, Sherry Khan and Ismat Khan, approached the Sindh High Court about the blockage of CNIC.
The lawyer of the petitioner said that bank accounts of their clients, Shereen Khan and Ismat, were also attached due to blockage of CNIC.
He further argued that their client facing financial hardships due to freezing of accounts.
On this, the lawyer of NADRA sought time to file the reply, which the court allowed. The hearing of the case was adjourned till the next date of hearing.
