QUETTA: Security forces are reported to have killed more than nine terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in different areas of Balochistan under the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
According to security sources, the operations are being conducted against terrorist elements affiliated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Khawarij in various districts of the province.
Operations in Ziarat, Harnai and Sorab
Security sources said an operation was carried out in the mountainous area between Ziarat and Harnai on the basis of intelligence information, where a terrorists’ hideout was surrounded and effectively targeted.
Eight terrorists were killed during the operation, while their hideout was also destroyed.
In a separate operation in Hajika village of Sorab district, security forces killed one more terrorist.
According to sources, the forces set up a blockade between Dasht-e-Katai and Hajika and traced the movement of the terrorists before engaging them.
Ammunition, magazines, grenades, walkie-talkies, motorcycles and other equipment were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, sources said.
Security forces have expressed their determination to continue operations without interruption until terrorism is completely eliminated and lasting peace is established in Balochistan.
It may be added here that the latest operations are part of the broader campaign that has seen intensified IBOs across the province in recent weeks, including in Kali Zaik, Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Kharan and Kambela, where terrorist hideouts have been dismantled and large quantities of weapons and war material seized.
