QUETTA: Security forces killed 15 more terrorists in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Balochistan under the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said.
According to security sources, operations were carried out against Khawarij in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk and Awaran districts, while several other operations were also conducted in Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki.
During the operations, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.
Security sources said the effective operations have severely damaged the terrorist network of Khawarij in the province. They reiterated the resolve to continue Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 until the complete elimination of terrorism.
The latest operations follow earlier engagements under the same campaign in Kambela and Asimabad areas, where three terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed and an area of 68 square kilometers was cleared.
The operations in Balochistan are being conducted alongside intensified IBOs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the recent operation in Hangu District where seven terrorists were killed and Captain Hamza Akram embraced martyrdom.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for the successful intelligence-based operations in Balochistan and appreciated their professional capabilities for killing 15 Khawarij.
He said the security forces have foiled the nefarious designs of Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Khawarij through successful operations.
“The brave sons of the security forces fighting against terrorism are the pride of the nation. God willing, with the support of the nation, the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Khawarij will be completely eliminated from Balochistan,” the interior minister said.
