One-day visit: PM to arrive in Karachi on Jan 27

ISLAMABAD: The reports of an increase in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s salary has been turned down by premier’s spokesperson.
A rumor earlier circulated that Imran Khan’s salary has been increased.
Rejecting the fake news, PM’s spokesperson said that there was no truth in the reports about the hike of the premier’s salary as Imran Khan was running a country-wide austerity campaign for reducing the government’s expenses.
The campaign was initiated by the prime minister himself and reports for a hike in his salary were baseless and fabricated.
Due to the surging hike in prices of basic commodities, the incumbent government earlier two days ago, abolished the optional powers of the president and the prime minister of holding camp offices. Later on 28th January, it was approved as an amendment.
