An 18-year-old student was allegedly gang-raped in Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab after being drugged on the pretext of a birthday party. He was later dumped unconscious on the side of the road.
According to the police, the young man was allegedly lured and taken to a residential building on the pretext of his birthday, where he was allegedly given drugs.
According to the FIR, three to four people took turns allegedly sexually assaulting the young man, while later he was thrown half-dead on the side of the bypass road. Rescue 1122 shifted the victim to the hospital after being alerted by a passer-by.
According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused at the City C Division police station on the request of the student.
Evidence has been collected from the scene and the medical examination of the victim has also been completed.
The police have arrested the accused named in the case, Hammad Akram son of Akram Masih, a resident of Habib Colony, while the three other accused named in the case have obtained pre-arrest bail from the court.
The father of the victim youth says that after the rape, an attempt was also made to kill his son, while the entire room at the scene of the crime was bloodstained.
According to the police, the investigation into the case is ongoing and further legal action will be taken in the light of the evidence.
