Telenor Pakistan and Ufone have officially merged into a single telecom entity, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), following final statutory approval from the Islamabad High Court.

With the completion of the process, Telenor Pakistan has ceased to exist as an independent legal entity, as its operations, infrastructure, and customer base have been fully consolidated under PTML.

According to details, the merger process has now been finalized and integrated operations are fully underway across the network.

The unified platform combines resources from both operators, marking a significant development in Pakistan’s telecom sector.

Following the consolidation, PTML now serves a combined subscriber base of approximately 72 million users, making it the second-largest mobile operator in the country after Jazz.

The merged entity operates under the umbrella of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), effectively marking Telenor Group’s complete exit from the Pakistani telecom market.

Officials said that customers of both Ufone and former Telenor services will continue to receive uninterrupted connectivity.
