ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s elder brother Shahid Akhtar has passed away.
The speed star confirmed his brother’s death on social media. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Akhtar wrote that his beloved brother Shahid Akhtar has returned to Allah Almighty.

Shoaib Akhtar said the funeral prayer of Shahid Akhtar will be offered today after Asr prayer at H-8, Islamabad.
