KARACHI: Police have arrested the man behind a viral video showing him harassing women on a Pink Bus in Karachi.
According to police, the suspect was arrested by Joharabad police from Federal B Area, Karachi and identified as Arsalan Ahmed. During interrogation, he confessed to the act and recorded a video statement in which he expressed remorse and apologized for his behavior.
Police said a video of the incident went viral on social media a day earlier. Arsalan told investigators that he made the obscene gestures on Rashid Minhas Road near the route to Nagan Chowrangi.
Women on the Pink Bus filmed the man as he continued making the gestures even while being recorded. He later fled the scene. To conceal his identity, Arsalan was wearing a mask and his motorcycle was missing the front number plate to avoid detection by law enforcement.
