K-Electric announces scheduled power shutdown for May 14

K-Electric has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown affecting multiple feeders across Karachi on 14 May 2026.

According to the utility provider, electricity supply will remain suspended in several residential and commercial areas from morning until evening due to planned maintenance work aimed at improving the power distribution system.

Areas expected to be affected include Anamta Society, Korangi Zoo, Malir Wireless, Manghopir Road, Global City, Sector Z, Sahafi Colony, KHI Memon Society, Jubilee Gate, and Zulfiqar Commercial, among others.

The outage timings will vary depending on the feeder, with most areas expected to experience power suspension between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Some localities, however, may face shorter or extended shutdown periods.

K-Electric has advised residents and business owners in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimise inconvenience during the maintenance period.

The company further warned that the announced schedule would be implemented immediately and urged consumers to remain updated through official communication channels.
