ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan will hear the petition against Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda for filing the false affidavit on 3rd February.
The petition was filed by Faiq Shah in which he pleaded that Faisal Vawda hid his dual nationality and submitted a false affidavit in the ECP while filing his nomination papers that violate the constitution article under clause 62-1 (F). Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution pertains to the qualification of members of the Parliament.
In his petition, he also requested that according to the article, Vawda was no longer Sadiq and Ameen (truthful and trustworthy) as he filed a false affidavit.
Vawda has already been barred from appearing on any talk shows for two weeks by Prime Minister Imran Khan as he while appearing on a talk show placed a black military boot on top of a table.
