ECP adjourns hearing of disparity in assets against Bilawal till Feb 6

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has adjourned the hearing of disparity in assets against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari till 6th February. 
Earlier today, the ECP assembled the PPP chairman to record his statement in the contradictions of the value of his assets and tax return.
The hearing was conducted by interim Chief Election Commissioner heard the case against Bilawal.
Lawyer of Bilawal, counselor Farooq Naek appeared before election commission and maintained that the ECP could only ask for information over disparities under the Election Act.
In the previous month, the PPP Chairman was probed by the NAB in the fake bank account case.  He has been probed for JV-Opal-225, a joint venture of Zardari Group Ltd. Billions of rupees were transferred to the company’s accounts via fake bank accounts. The company took out loans of billions of rupees from the banks.
