During the ongoing rise in sugar prices in the country, a shocking revelation has come to light that sugar mill owners have earned Rs. 300 billion from the recent fluctuation in sugar prices.

According to details, during a Public Accounts Committee meeting chaired by Junaid Akbar, the Auditor General stated that Rs. 300 billion were earned due to recent changes in sugar prices.

Riaz Fatyana claimed that the nation was deceived out of Rs. 287 billion. The whistleblower, Punjab’s Cane Commissioner, was sidelined. Sanaullah Masti Khel questioned who benefited from the FBR’s SRO on sugar imports. By raising the sugar price by just one rupee, Rs. 44 billion are earned. This cat-and-mouse game has been ongoing for years. For God’s sake, forgive us.

Moeen Amir Pirzada declared the root of the problem to be the Sugar Advisory Board. Government politicians clashed over sugar mills, with PTI and PPP members confronting each other.

PTI’s Aamir Dogar declared President Asif Ali Zardari as the largest owner of sugar mills. In response, PPP’s Shazia Marri and Bilal Ahmed Khan accused him of point-scoring. The PTI member refused to retract his words.
