Economy needs strength like armed forces: Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the time has come to strengthen the economy just like the military; if we control tax evasion, we won’t need to go to the IMF.

While speaking at the National Assembly session, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that if we account for revenue theft, the economy will be fixed. A strong foundation is also necessary against corruption and revenue leakage. Well-off individuals have made themselves beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Card.

The Defense Minister said that over the past year and a quarter, we made every effort to recover the country’s economy. When the clouds of war were looming, it was said that there was no fuel to fly the planes. From the opposition benches came statements that we had sold missiles and shells to Ukraine. Khawaja Asif said that in Pakistan’s 77-year history, many great people have been martyred. Those who sympathize with terrorists cannot be Pakistani. Our soldiers guard the borders on Siachen even during Eid. Not once have I received a request to bring someone’s son back from Siachen.

He said that India’s illusion before others has been shattered. India had to pay a heavy price for attacking Pakistan. Our success was due to the strength of our armed forces and the resolve of the people. I pay tribute to the Pakistani people and our armed forces. India is using water as a weapon against Pakistan; water aggression is being carried out by India.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that if someone supports the banned BLA, they are a traitor. The entire nation stands behind the army to defend the homeland. Nations are not built by worshipping a single individual. PTI’s social media warriors speak ill of the state. These people are agents of India.

Return of Indian pilot Abhinandan declared a surrender

Khawaja Asif said that the return of Indian pilot Abhinandan was a surrender. The Army Chief and Prime Minister at the time harmed national dignity. I had seen the courage of the former Prime Minister and Army Chief; today I have also seen the courage of the current Prime Minister and military leadership.

The Defense Minister said that under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif and the Finance Minister, we have traveled a long road. It never crossed anyone’s mind to compromise on national dignity. During the war with India, the morale of our armed forces was unmatched. After a long time, trust developed between the state and the people that our defenders are brave. The Pakistan Air Force performed brilliantly and received praise from all. We will be proud of the victory against India until the end of time.
