Karachi has witnessed numerous accidents involving dumper trucks in recent weeks, with another incident occurring on Thursday when a dumper crashed into a bungalow near Defense Road.
According to the police, the bungalow’s boundary wall was damaged, and both the driver and cleaner sustained injuries in the accident. The driver, who claimed that brake failure caused the crash, has been taken into custody, police officials confirmed.
In recent months, several road accidents involving high-speed dumper trucks have resulted in fatalities and serious injuries.
Earlier this month, a troubling report revealed that at least 110 people have lost their lives in Karachi over the past 132 days due to collisions involving heavy vehicles.
