From Lahore, 315 more passengers departed for India via the Wagah Border, while 201 Pakistanis arrived in Lahore from India, as reported by national media on Wednesday.
After the escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India, the repatriation of citizens from both countries continues, and in this context, 315 more Indian citizens left for India today through Wagah, while 201 Pakistani citizens returned to Lahore.
According to officials, two Pakistani women who had gone to India after marriage were also sent back. One woman stated that she had gone to India after marriage, where she gave birth to a son; however, due to holding Pakistani citizenship, she was forcibly sent back, and now her 4-month-old son is with her husband.
The other woman also stated that she had gone to India after marriage, where she had four children, but due to holding Pakistani citizenship, she too was forcibly deported. India ordered Pakistani citizens to leave the country within 48 hours after the Pahalgam attack, which the Modi government blamed on Pakistan.
On the other hand, the people of Pakistan and India are questioning on what evidence the Modi government has based the allegation of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack.
