Hafiz-e-Quran thrashed, humiliated in AJK

RAWALPINDI: A Hafiz-e-Quran was severely thrashed and humiliated by local influential men in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The incident took place in Palandri area of Azad Kashmir, were Hafiz-e-Quran named Muhammad Qasim s/o Muhammad Akhtar was severally thrashed. The influential men alleged that Qasim has embezzled some money from them.

The influential men also humiliated the learned man inflicting severe corporal punishment and degrading treatment. The man’s father said that his son was mistreated and he will take legal action against the culprits.
