The Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad administration has decided that the varsity would remain closed “indefinitely” given the circumstances in the federal capital following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf march.
The university issued an official notification regarding the closure on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the Islamabad and Rawalpindi administrations announced that the educational institutions would remain closed on Wednesday (tomorrow) in view of the situation. It would be the third day that institutions would be shut down.
Life in the federal capital has come to a standstill after the government sealed the city with shipping containers and restricted access to internet services.

PTI supporters last marched on Islamabad in October, sparking days of clashes with police in which one officer was killed, but this week’s protest is bigger in size and more violent, authorities said.
