The millionaire tech entrepreneur at the forefront of the longevity movement, Bryan Johnson, is no stranger to pushing the limits of human aging.
Known for his bold plan to increase human longevity to 150 years, Johnson’s most recent experiment took a surprising and dramatic turn that attracted a lot of attention. Johnson shared on Instagram the results of a cosmetic procedure called “Project Baby Face” on November 14.
In an eye-catching close-up, his face looked swollen and inflamed, as if fat from a “donor” had been injected into it to replace the youthful fullness that had been lost during his strict health regimen. “I lost a lot of fat, especially around my face, and got really lean.

Johnson captioned hi post on Instagram: “Have any of your therapies gone wrong? In starting Project Blueprint, I had one question: are we the first generation who won’t die? To begin, my team and I evaluated all the scientific literature on longevity and aging, stack ranking the best performing health therapies with the most compelling evidence. Caloric restriction was among the early selections. My daily calorie consumption dropped from 2,500 to 1,950. As a result, I got really lean and lost a lot of fat—especially in my face. My biomarkers were improving, but I looked gaunt. People thought I was on the brink of death.”
Despite the alarming response, Johnson kept his scheduled meeting with a reporter from Bloomberg, stating in advance that his appearance might not be recognizable. After his face stabilized seven days later, Johnson made his announcement.
