Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 30% fare reduction for flights from Karachi to Jeddah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia.
According to PIA spokesperson the new one-way fare is set at Rs56,000, including taxes, while the round-trip fare has been lowered to Rs88,000, also inclusive of taxes.
This promotional fare will be available until the end of August. Passengers can book discounted tickets until August 31, 2024, with travel permitted until September 30, 2024. The new fares are effective immediately.
Earlier in June, PIA revealed that pilgrims traveling to Madinah for Umrah would benefit from lower airfare.
According to a PIA representative, discounted prices are available for Umrah pilgrims flying from Pakistan to Madinah. A round-trip ticket from Lahore or Islamabad to Madinah is priced at Rs86,000, while a two-way ticket from Karachi to Madinah costs Rs76,000, excluding taxes. Previously, the cost of an Umrah ticket was Rs120,000.
