A circular distributed by the health department highlights the severity of the Congo virus situation in Punjab, necessitating immediate and coordinated action to tackle the escalating crisis. District Health Officers have been assigned the critical task of swiftly identifying and reporting suspected cases to higher authorities, enabling timely intervention and containment measures.
The imminent threat of a Congo virus outbreak is particularly acute during the months ahead, spanning from April to July, as indicated by reports and epidemiological data. Livestock authorities are urged to implement rigorous measures to protect public health, including relocating cattle markets away from densely populated residential areas.
