The relentless and brutal bombing and aggression by Israel on the most oppressed city of Gaza have been ongoing for more than a hundred days. During the intermittent ceasefire in recent days, Israel continued its one-sided onslaught on Gaza with complete support and assistance from its global imperialist masters, including the United States, Britain, France, and others.
Gaza has been relentlessly targeted with fire, iron, and deadly ammunition from air, land, and sea, perpetuating a chain of brutality, cruelty, and savagery that continues to unfold before the eyes of the world.
In these days of continuous attacks, Israel has besieged Gaza completely. It seems as if the city has fallen into the clutches of a bloodthirsty beast, tearing it apart mercilessly. Despite apparent humanity in the creature’s right and left hands, those seemingly human hands are actively fueling the creature’s morale with extreme determination and brutality. They are refusing to let anyone extend a helping hand to those trapped in the creature’s clutches.
In its quest to eliminate Hamas and other Palestinian resistance organizations, Israel has turned Gaza City into a target of destruction, where more than two million inhabitants are left with no secure buildings, markets, mosques, churches, educational institutions, hospitals, or safe roads. Thousands of people are left exposed in the open sky, awaiting their death, while the bloodthirsty beast is actively engaged in putting each one to sleep with complete power and fearlessness.
In these hundred days of brutality and savagery, we have witnessed grand theatrical performances on the world stage, where all the characters have been unveiled and laid bare, continuously shouting the cry of humanity while never tiring, based on which they condemn and accuse others. The same institutions that have proven to be ineffective and useless in stopping wars and establishing peace worldwide are now standing against anyone resisting injustice and cruelty.
It is hypocritical to see that some of the world’s prominent intellectuals, for more than a hundred days, have stood on the stage of humanity against brutality, cruelty, and savagery, yet they continue to hide their faces and remain silent in the face of the ongoing brutality in the world. Those who do not tire of shouting the slogan of humanity day and night, and who condemn and accuse others based on this, are now exposing their true faces, completely naked and vulnerable.
In these more than hundred days of Israel’s ongoing brutality, the successful resistance of the people of Palestine has proven that the dream of wiping out Palestine and its people will remain just a dream for Israel and its masters.
The courageous resistance of Palestinian fighters has fulfilled their duty of protecting and defending the sacred land of Al-Quds with utmost bravery, courage, and determination. Now, it is the responsibility of the Muslim world, and the Islamic ummah must ask itself whether it feels a sense of responsibility and duty.
It is time for the Muslim ummah to openly reject the American and Israeli narrative of labeling Hamas and other Palestinian fighters as terrorists, and to make it clear that those resisting the occupation of their land are not terrorists but rather Israel is the occupier. The reality is that Palestinian defenders are fighting a war of defense for their sacred land, and in these challenging times, verbal and moral support from the Muslim ummah can be a significant source of strength for them.
The fighters in Gaza are the last fortress of defense for Al-Quds, and God forbid if this fortress is breached, not only the existence of Al-Quds but also the current geography of the Muslim world could be in jeopardy. Therefore, the Muslim ummah needs to stand tall with the last fortress of defense, like a rock alongside the last rock, or else your stories will not be stories; they will be tales of lamentation.
