1) Gunah
The drama focuses on the social issues that people in our society face every day. From an extramarital affair, honour killing to the impact of corrupt or honest police officers, and political influence, this drama covers it all.
Sarmad Khoosat in a negative role along with Saba Qamar’s killer expressions are a treat for the eyes. Moreover Juggan Kazim despite having a small role is still impactful. Last but not least Rabia Butt has brilliantly played the role of a cop, her expressions, and the way she has delivered her character onscreen makes us want to see her presence in dramas more.
2) Kabli Pulao
Directed by Kashif Nisar, Kabli Pulao breaks stereotypes by providing the perfect entertainment for those viewers who prefer watching dramas that are out of the box.
It is the romantic tale of two individuals, a Lahori Punjabi man and an Afghan refugee girl, who are not only different by culture but age as well.
3) Tere Bin
Written by Nooran Makhdoom and directed by Siraj-ul-Haq, Tere Bin was the ultimate fan favorite in 2023 which is why it is on top in this particular category.
Tere Bin revolves around Meerab and Murtasim’s character who experience a love into hate relationship. The two of them are seemingly opposite to each other. In the beginning, they could not bear each other’s presence.
4) Baby Baji
Directed by Tehseen Khan, the drama features the story of every other Pakistani living in a joint system. It reflects the culture and issues of the joint family system in Pakistan.
Baby Baji has a stellar cast including Samina Ahmed, Saud Qasmi, Javeria Saud, Hassan Ahmed, Sunita Marshall, Junaid Niazi, Tuba Anwar, Fazal Hussian, and Aina Asif.
5) Kuch Ankahi
Directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Mohammad Ahmed, the series is about women’s social progress by showcasing women from all strata of society, including a poor maid, a middle-class real estate agent, and a rich businesswoman. The plot revolves around the aspirations and trajectories of three sisters.
6) Razia
Written and directed by Mohsin Ali Razia is a mini-series that features Mahira Khan. The series tells the story of the life story of a young girl Razia who is maltreated by her parents and society just because she is a girl.

Based on early-age, forced, and cousin marriage and most importantly how it affects the lives of youngsters, Mayi Ri became everyone’s favorite.
Mayi Ri centres around a young couple Ainee and Fakhir who are school-going teenagers and as well as cousins. They are forced to marry each other under family pressure which deteriorates their educational, personal, family, and future life.
9) Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha
Written by Sidra Sehar Imran and directed by Badar Mehmood, the story of love, trust, and betrayal revolves around the main characters, Saad, Maheer, and Areeb.
10) Jannat Se Aagay
Written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hassan, Jannat Se Aagay has a compelling storyline, unpredictable script, meaningful and most of all engaging right till the end.
Jannat Se Aagay’s storyline delves into toxic trends within the entertainment industry, touching on themes such as sensationalism and public humiliation for ratings.
