According to a post on X on November 11, 2023, adult film star Stormy Daniels acknowledged having a “business relationship” with Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson. We discovered that this was a satirical claim at first.

As the deadline to continue operating the U.S. government past November 17, 2023, drew nearer, the claim gained traction. As of this writing, Johnson’s stopgap spending bill, which would continue to fund the government past that date, was scheduled to be voted on by the House of Representatives.

The same claim was also posted on other social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook.

However, But the X post was not an accurate account of actual events. The X account’s bio at the time of writing described it as a “raw and unfiltered parody account.”
We also couldn’t locate any authentic Fox News piece regarding the assertion. Reputable news sources would have covered Daniels’ remarks if the information in the X post was accurate. This was written before that had occurred.
